J. Thomas (Tom) Lisle, O.D.

J. Thomas (Tom) Lisle, O.D.


Dr. Lisle is a native of Winchester, Kentucky. He completed his undergraduate at Eastern Kentucky University with a degree in Psychology. After graduation, he attended Indiana University School of Optometry and graduated in 1998.


Dr. Lisle married Maggie (Leach) Lisle shortly after graduation and in 2001, they formed Lisle Family Eye Care in North Vernon, Indiana. In 2013, Lisle Family Eye Care purchased Dr. Chris Sieglitz’s office in Vevay, Indiana and renamed their business The Eye Care Group. In 2014, Kirkpatrick Eye Care, in Madison, Indiana was added to The Eye Care Group. And in 2019, Dr. Fischer and Associates in Seymour, Indiana joined The Eye Care Group


Dr. Lisle is a member of the Indiana Optometric Association. He has served as president of the Southeastern Society of the IOA, and is currently the secretary of that association.


Dr. Lisle has an interest in ocular pathology and general optometric practice. His hobbies include woodworking, history, and working on his farm. He enjoys spending time with his sons, Jack and Joseph, and traveling with his wife, Maggie.

Dr. Lisle grew up in North Vernon, Indiana graduating from Jennings County High School. She completed her undergraduate studies at Butler University as a biology major and went on to Indiana University School of Optometry and graduated in 1998.


While at Indiana University, Dr. Lisle was the recipient of the Dr. Henry Hofstetter Award for leadership and service. She also served as school trustee of the American Optometric Student Association.


Dr. Maggie’s favorite role in optometry is examining people of all ages and she especially likes working with kids. She enjoys running and reading in her spare time.

Linda L. Fischer, O.D.

After more than 25 years of solo practice, Dr. Fischer joined the Eye Care Group in May 2019. Both her undergraduate degree and Doctor of Optometry degree are from Indiana University.


Dr. Fischer practices both general and therapeutic optometry. To enhance the management of her diabetic ocular evaluations, she became a member of the American Diabetic Association (ADA). Dr. Fischer also has a passion for dry eye treatment and ocular nutritional support.


When not working, she enjoys spending time with her twin daughters, Katie and Ava, and her spouse, Max.

Richard Fox, O.D.

Dr. Fox is from Mason, Ohio and attended the University of Dayton on a basketball scholarship from 1964 to 1968. He was fortunate enough to be on the UD team in 1966-1967 that came in second to UCLA in the NCAA tournament. The following year, the UD Flyers won the NIT Tournament. Graduating from UD in December 1968 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology, he went to the Ohio State University College of Optometry in the fall of 1969 and graduated with the Doctor of Optometry Degree from OSU in 1973.


He was in private practice from 1974-1984, and then worked with various optical companies from 1984-2011, when he retired from active optometric practice in the State of Ohio. He obtained his Indiana Optometry license in August of 2014 and became an associate with the Eye Care Group in November 2014.


Dr. Fox has been married to his wife Sandy for 26 years, and has two children, Bryan and Jennifer, and two grandchildren, Dominic and Mya. Sandy (a native-born Hoosier) and Richard have become Madisonians, having bought a home in this great community in 2012. When not in the office, Dr. Fox maintains a lifelong interest in music of the 50’s and 60’s, and is an avid record collector and owner of a few working jukeboxes. He is also a DJ on an internet radio station, and does 2 three-hour shows per week on Doo Wop Radio. doowopradio.com

Robert Kirkpatrick, O.D.

In 2020, Dr. Kirkpatrick was awarded the Indiana Optometrist of the Year by the Indiana Optometric Association. This prestigious award is the highest award given to an optometrist in Indiana, and is in recognition of Dr. Kirkpatrick's dedication and commitment to the profession.


Dr. Kirkpatrick is from Madison, Indiana and graduated from Madison High School in 1969. He received a Bachelor’s in Science from Indiana University in 1972 and his Optometry degree in 1976 also from Indiana University. From there he interned at Case Western Medical School in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Kirkpatrick finds the many facets of optometry mentally challenging and enjoys interacting with and helping patients.


Dr. Kirkpatrick is past president of the IU Optometry Alumni, served on the Board of Directors for the Boys Club, Madison Chamber of Commerce, and Miss Madison Hydroplane. He received an award for starting the first Madison swim team.


He enjoys spending time with his daughters Sarah and Jessica. Outside of the office, Dr. Kirkpatrick enjoys outdoor activities such as fishing, skiing, birdwatching, and golf.

Tyler Pietrykowski, O.D.

Dr. Pietrykowski is a native of Jefferson County, Indiana, and a 2008 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. He went on to study environmental science at Indiana University, graduating with a bachelor of science and Biology minor in 2012. He continued his post-secondary education at IU receiving his Doctor of Optometry in 2017.


Dr. Pietrykowski looks forward to returning to Southeastern Indiana and practicing in the area he grew up. He is a member of the Indiana Optometric Association as well as the American Optometric Association. Dr. Pietrykowski will be focusing on the primary care and ocular pathology aspects of optometry while seeing patients in both the Madison / Vevay offices. In his free time he enjoys spending time outdoors and working on his family’s farm.

Catherine Donaldson, O.D.

Catherine Donaldson, O.D.


Dr. Donaldson is originally from Continental, Ohio but made her way to Southeast Indiana during her training at the Kentucky College of Optometry. She completed a clinical rotation in the area and decided to move here permanently. 


In 2017 she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Gerontology at The University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio. She then received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Kentucky College of Optometry in Pikeville, KY in 2021. 


Dr. Donaldson is a member of the Indiana Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, and the InfantSEE program. Dr. Donaldson has an interest in ocular pathology and general optometric practice. 

In her spare time she enjoys reading, crafting, and spending time with her family and friends.

Kristopher Pugh, MD

Kristopher Pugh, M.D.


After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Butler University, Dr. Pugh earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed an internship at Clarian Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, before receiving his residency training at the University of South Carolina, where he was elected Chief Resident. 


Dr. Pugh and his wife returned home to Indiana in 2007 to join Dr. Black’s Eye Associates. He strives to tailor surgical outcomes to meet each patient’s lifestyle needs. When Dr. Pugh isn’t busy helping his patients see life clearly, he loves spending time with his wife and four children, traveling whenever possible, and endlessly cheering on the Chicago Cubs.

Jacob Yunker

Jacob Yunker, M.D.


Dr. Yunker was born and raised in Maysville, KY. He received his undergraduate education at Transylvania University before graduating from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Dr. Yunker completed residency training at Callahan Eye Foundation Hospital and fellowship training at Retina Consultants of Alabama, both at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.


During his residency training, Dr. Yunker’s passion for teaching earned him the Brass Apple teaching award. As an Assistant Professor of Vitreo-Retinal Surgery at the University of Kentucky Department of Ophthalmology, he was actively involved in teaching residents and training fellows in retinal surgery. Dr. Yunker has pubished papers on diabetic retinopathy and vitreo-retinal surgery and has also served as a co-instructor for courses on diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and vitreo-retinal surgical techniques at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.


Dr. Yunker is a college basketball fan who also likes to run, watch movies, and most of all spend time with his wife, their young daughter, and their dogs.

Tom Harper, M.D.

Dr. Harper is a native Kentuckian. He practiced as a chemical engineer in the nuclear power industry prior to medical school. After his medical education at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 2003, he finished his ophthalmology residency and retina fellowship at the world-famous Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida. He was then selected by the faculty for a one-year appointment as Chief Resident following fellowship. When not seeing patients, Dr. Harper enjoys film, theater, martial arts and spending time with his family.

Jeremy D. Clark, M.D.

Dr. Clark attended the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where he obtained his M.D. He is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology – Oculofacial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at U of L, and is connected with multiple hospitals in the area. 


His expertise is in clinical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of orbital and periorbital trauma and disease processes. These disease processes include aesthetic and reconstructive surgery specializing in the face, orbits, eyelids and lacrimal system, specifically: ophthalmic Graves’ disease, repair of oculofacial/orbital trauma, development and reconstruction of the anophthalmic socket, correction of eyelid malposition, and tearing/lacrimal outflow issues.
